Flaxen manes and tails add a striking touch to a chestnut
There are some who believe that in order to have the flaxen show up in the manes and tails that both parents have to have it behind them. Our experience has been that this is true. Many of the Morabs with the flaxen are also the more unique shades of chestnut such as the chocolate.

Caramel Chestnut and Flaxen
LM Mystery Shiloh, pictured as a yearling in Arkansas with her flaxen mane quite easy to see. Her tail has also lightened as she's gotten older. She is sired also by the Morgan stallion, Mary Mels Mystery, and out of the gray Morab mare, LM Ark-One Shawna. Shawna was born a chestnut. |
